Shout Out to Performing Artists!

Dungog Arts Society will be featuring performing artists at the opening of the 2024 Annual Exhibition, ‘The Tops’.

Performing Artists Dungog {PAD} has very kindly sponsored the Performing Arts section of The Tops exhibition. This means that for the first time, performing artists will also get a chance to showcase their talents and skills with a short- about 20 minutes- set at our Annual Exhibition. PAD has generously provided $200 so that three individuals or groups can be paid for their performances at the Exhibition opening.

Gig in the Gog, our fortnightly Performing Arts events, are proving popular, and are integral to these performance opportunities. The next Gig in the Gog is on Sunday 15^th September. It will be the final Gig from which performers can be selected to play at the opening of The Tops exhibition, opening 6.30pm on Friday 4^th October 2024.

Performers- If you would like to be in the running to be chosen to do a short, paid set at the exhibition opening, please come to the next Gig in the Gog on Sunday 15th September, 12-2pm at the DAS gallery in Dowling Street Dungog. Performers of all ages, with all sorts of talents and abilities are welcome. We would like to showcase varied acts- not only musicians. You will need to be available to perform at the opening on 4th October, for about 20 minutes, between 6.30 and 8.30pm. If you are interested, please add your name to the list of entrants by emailing us, calling 0437315191, or putting your name on the (paper) list available in the Arts Society gallery- either ahead of time or on the day.

If you haven’t been to a Gig before, and would like to see what it is all about, come along and enjoy a free, fun, laid back afternoon of music, verse and more on 15th September. Spectators are also welcome- anyone can drop in to watch- but they often find themselves tapping their feet, participating and singing along.
