…Featuring Visual and Performing Arts and Crafts…

Dungog Arts Society is now planning four major exhibitions per year, and the next is our Annual Exhibition, from October to January.

Performing Artists- Click here for entry info

Performing Artists Dungog {PAD} has very kindly sponsored the Performing Arts section of The Tops exhibition. This means that for the first time, performing artists will also get a chance to showcase their talents and skills with a short- about 20 minutes- set at our Annual Exhibition. PAD has generously provided $200 so that three individuals or groups can be paid for their performances at the Exhibition opening. More information here.

About Our New Exhibitions…

 

The four exhibitions per year will feature Visual and Performing Arts and Crafts, and be open to all exhibitors of all ages- DAS members and non-members.

Each of these four, new-style exhibitions will run for THREE MONTHS, and each exhibition will have a theme.

Thanks to our generous sponsors, there will be prizes for the best work inspired by the theme, as well as prizes for various categories and age groups (Junior, Youth and Adult) within the three sections (Visual Arts, Performing Arts and Crafts).

Everyone- DAS members and non-members- are welcome to enter, attend the opening, and/or participate in the free, fortnightly ‘Gig in the Gog’ performing arts events, held at the DAS gallery.

While there will still be exhibition entry fees for art/craft works, artists/makers/artisans will pay NO COMMISSION on sales of works entered in the exhibitions.

Annual Exhibition, October-December 2024

The first of these new style exhibitions will be our Annual Exhibition, which has the theme of ‘the Tops’. It opens on October 4th, 6.30pm at the DAS gallery, Dowling Street, Dungog. Entry forms are being finalised and will be available on this site or from DAS.

Key dates for the 2024 Annual Exhibition;

Close of entries- Monday 5pm 23 September
Delivery of work- Saturday 28- Monday 30 September
Judging Thursday- 3 October
Opening- Friday 6.30pm 4 October
Closing- Friday 3 January 2025

The second new exhibition, with a theme yet to be announced, will run from January to March, 2025.

The 2025 Dungog Archies remains at the same time of year, being incorporated into our third new exhibition, the 2025 April to June exhibition. (The 2023 Dungog Archies page is here.)

The fourth exhibition, also with a theme to be announced, will run from July to September, 2025.
