Watercolour Animals with Sharon Barker

Even if you’ve never worked with watercolour paints before, this workshop will provide you the skills and techniques to create beautiful works of art inspired by the animal world.
This class will cover:
- How to compose your picture & sketch up your image before painting.
- A variety of different watercolour brush techniques.
- Colour selection: how to manipulate colour & tone.
- Watercolour application techniques such as wet-on-wet, drybrush & glazing.
Class size: up to 12 adults- available for over 18’s only
Members- $50 per person

- Round brushes: sizes 1, 8, 12 and 16
- Watercolour paint set (minimum 12 colours)
Paper will be supplied.
Note: if you don’t have paint or brushes, there will be some student paints and brushes available on the day to use, however if you would like to purchase your own, we recommend these products for beginners:
Sharon Barker is a local artist who has honed her artistic skills under the tutelage of artists like Nada O’Loughlin, drawing inspiration from the natural world.

This will be updated as needed, and any updates will be listed here and in our News and Events page, so you can download them too if you wish. The download file will be available until just after the workshop. That means you can keep an electronic or paper copy (if you want to print it out) with all the relevant info at hand.
